Sage 50 Support Plans

TriStar offers Sage 50 support plans for both Sage 50 and Peachtree licensee, which can either enhance or replace the standard Sage BusinessCare plan.

Sage Software, like many technology companies today, has migrated to a “subscription-based” licensing approach for their products, with telephone support and license updates “bundled” into the annual subscription fee. Sage calls this new requirement “BusinessCare.” All new and existing Sage 50 licensees are now required to purchase a BusinessCare subscription from Sage in order to obtain either license upgrades or new software licenses, and are required to renew their contract annually.

Sage 50 support plansThe telephone support available in the BusinessCare Plan from Sage focuses exclusively on technical issues and strict product functionality, not on the more common business-related “Best Practice” questions we encounter so often in the field. Sage support staff routinely refer such questions to Sage Certified Consultants such as the Wizards at TriStar for resolution, with such calls then billed to the client at TriStar’s hourly billing rate.
 
 
To address this perceived “service gap” TriStar has designed a Contracted Service Plan which offers two simple service choices, and covers any edition or version of Peachtree/Sage 50, whether or not supported by Sage:

    • Unlimited remote connection, telephone, and email support for any version of Sage 50 / Peachtree for the term of your contract
    • On-Site Services, for installations, troubleshooting, etc.

We believe this approach will meet the needs of all of our clients that want the comfort and assurance of pre-paid support from trusted business advisors who understand their clients’ software, their technology environment, and their business practices.

TriStar Contracted Service Plans for Sage 50 / Peachtree

Basic Service Plan:
Unlimited remote connection, telephone, and email support from experienced TriStar business consultants
10% discount for all on-site services required
Enhanced Service Plan:
All features of Basic Service, plus
No charge for installation and configuration of software licenses (new or upgrade) on your system, basic troubleshooting, etc.
Pricing
Basic Service
$1,500 per year
On-Site Service
$1,500 per year, plus $150 for each computer on which licenses will be installed
